Several months ago I came across a deal on toner that I just couldn’t pass up. At $95 for each color cartridge, it was costing almost $400 to replace a full set of toner for my HP 2605, so the idea of spending $75 a piece instead seemed like a good one.
Not so much. Turns out the people that remade the cheap cartridges didn’t drain the overflow so any time I printed anything with color it looked like I ran a Smurf through the printer.
Finally gave up yesterday and spent the $250 for a 3 pack of toner to replace all 3 colors and, after a bit of interior cleaning, the first print came out like the printer was new. Guess the lesson is it’s not worth trying to save the $20.
