Extending the Canon OCSC2 with a keyboard cable

Step 2
Next we need to cut the keyboard cable. Cut about 6 inches away from each connector and strip off 2 inches of the coating. The cable I had was able to be stripped with a 10-guage stripper. Inside, wrapped in a metallic shielding which you’ll remove are red, purple, yellow, green, black, and orange wires; plus an uncoated one. Strip half an inch off each of these except the orange, which will not be used.
