Web Page Layout in Photoshop and ImageReady

Finally growing tired of the default Kubrick theme on my WordPress blog, I decided it was time to go for a face-lift.

Most of the page layouts I’ve done in the past have been done with HTML and CSS, but only enough graphics for the logo and a few small images just to keep it interesting. So, all my designs wound up with borders and colors, but no real interest. Read the rest of this entry »

PayPal returning with ?=Return+To+Merchant

Just a quick post since I had a really tough time finding an answer to a problem I was having.

I’m working on an open source eCommerce site where photographers can upload image galleries and have their clients view (and order) them. For now, I’m going to be using PayPal as the payment gateway. It was all working out fine, except for one thing. Read the rest of this entry »

What’s new in WordPress 2.0

It looks like WordPress is going to skip the 1.6 release and jump straight on version 2.0. With the forthcoming release, the question of what’s changed has been asked all over the place. Finally updated my WordPress theme

Sparked by a posting called 7 Mistakes for your First Week Blogging, I decided my blog needed a face lift.

Rule #1 - Don’t launch until you have a theme. The line “same bland layout of every other amateur blog on the planet” hit me enough to spend the couple hours making my theme, well, mine.

So, I took my Wordpress files and did the face lift. Let me know if something doesn’t seem right.

Google SMS - How did I not know about this
