Amazon Images plugin for WordPress

Every now and then I like to link to Amazon products, along with an affiliate tag. Nothing spammy. But I figure if I’m going to link to something that they make money off of, I might as well try to make a bit as well, right?

Downside is that the link builder inside Amazon typically uses a very small image. Turns out though, you can get links to larger images by using their Advertising API. And that’s what this plugin does.

After activating the plugin you’ll have a new tab on the media manager where you ‘ll enter the ASIN for whatever product you’re linking to. Click a button and the plugin will pull the information for that ASIN from Amazon and add links to the images into your media for that post.

You can install the plugin either through your WordPress admin or by downloading from the WordPress plugin library.

Great idea for a plugin. I installed and tried to pull up the media manager tab and got this message:

Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, class ‘AmazonImages’ does not have a method ‘tab_page’ in /home/crpolk/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 405

I’m not much on programming, but if there is something I can tweak let em know, or if you need any further info.

    Thanks!

    • The tab under Media isn’t supposed to be there. So I guess for now just ignore the error and don’t click on that page.

There’s a tab under Settings to put in your options and there’s a new tab on the Media Manager when you’re editing a post – the pop-up that comes up when you click the media icon.
