Warwick University researchers have developed a mobile phone case that is biodegradable. Even better, it grows a flower when planted.

Laws are being passed that would require mobile phone manufacturers to take phones back after replacement. Obviously; the collection, separation, and disposal of these phones would be extremely costly. This gives another option. The consumer can simply plant the case. The seed was added to the casing to give the customer a reason to take the phone apart rather than simply throwing it away.
